Dr. Skaribas has the pleasure of making his second appearance on KHOU’s program Great Day Houston with host Deborah Duncan. The program will steam LIVE starting at 9:00am tomorrow morning, January 19, at  http://www.khou.com/great-day. Dr. Skaribas will be discussing the treatment of chronic migraine headaches using neurostimulation.

Dr. Skaribas was honored to be a Symposium Speaker, giving an informative presentation on pain and pain therapies. Spinal Cord Stimulation -or Neurostimulation- is a method of pain control frequently used to treat back pain, and pain in the arms and legs. Similar in function and appearance to cardiac pacemakers, neurostimulators deliver mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord, interrupting or masking the pain signals’ transmission to the brain. Dr. Skaribas is an expert in spinal cord stimulation and the device placement.

In a program sponsored by St. Jude’s Medical Dr. Skaribas engages in Peer to Peer instruction. On Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, Dr. Skaribas instructed Dr. Adrian Olvera from Beaumont on Spinal Cord Stimulation.

Dr. Skaribas has the honor of being requested by the prestigious International Journal of Medicine and Medical Science  to review a new manuscript before it’s published in the Journal. Dr. Skaribas will review the manuscript titled: Innovative Approach to Ultrasound Imaging Techniques- Integrating Personal Computers into Image Acquisition to Improving Accessibility and Reduce the Cost
